From Linda Kelton, grand daughter of Bob Kelton, the crew boss for the tower construction.
“I can’t even count how many times I’ve been to this tower! Well, it’s because my grandpa, Bob Kelton, was the foreman who built it! I grew up in West Sound at his old house on the pilings every summer. Sadly, I never met my grandpa because he died the year before I was born. But, were we ever proud of him! Every summer and every time company came, we would head up to the tower to show them. I’m so happy his picture and his name is now in there. All thanks to Rolf Eriksen! He has done so much to preserve my grandpa’s memory and our family will forever be grateful.”
